Laptop Dell Inspiron 15 i15RV-6190BLK 15.6-Inch Deals & Reviews

YourName (San Francisco, CA USA): As a college student on a budget, I really needed a computer that would do many tasks on the road without hurting the wallet. I have a prehistoric 7-8 year old Dell Dimension E510 desktop that is super slow. So, I made the decision to buy a laptop under $400 yet still faster than my desktop.
I set my eyes on this laptop from a local electronics store. I compared specs, from the size and weight, to the nitty features like the number of USBs. And so, here I have it.

T. Lovell (NJ,USA): We bought this computer as a replacement of a ten year old Dell laptop running Windows XP. The add stated that the replacement would be running Windows 7, which we are familiar with. The computer came, absolutely NO user guide at all, nothing in writing, and Windows 8 installed. We wasted over 8 hours trying to figure out the Windows, Live E-Mail and On-Line Internet chores and get them going. Even getting the computer to connect to our Wi-Fi network was a major chore. I realize that this is a minimal computer, but the user needs some direction at start-up.

D. Young (Salt Lake City, UT United States): Right when I turned this computer on for the first time I heard the CPU fan spinning at a high rate, even without touching the computer to run any programs. After some research I found that Dell updated the BIOS the first part of March to fix this issue. According to Dell's website this computer was manufactured the end of April so I'm not sure why it didn't have the most recent BIOS installed. Once I updated the BIOS the fan is running normal and everything is good.

Barry Albert(Canada) :I bought this laptop because it has a 17 watt Pentium processor and it was a good value. Most laptops still have the 35 watt processors which suck power and get hot. Because of the low wattage this laptop stays relatively cool. I am coming from a very fast AMD high watt processor that got really hot and decided to scale down to the slower but cooler Pentium and so far I am glad I did. I turned off my mouse pad and am using a Logitech trackball and after I turned my windows 8 into a windows 7 look alike I am happy as a clam.
